GP2YOA21 SHARP SENSOR

The Sharp GP2Y0A21YK0F is an IR analog distance sensor with a measurement range of 10–80cm. Bounces infrared off objects and returns an analog voltage inversely proportional to distance: ~3V at 10cm, ~0.4V at 80cm. Includes a 3-pin JST interface cable (300mm). For distances over 1m, use ultrasonic sensors instead.

Note: This sensor draws large, short current bursts. Place a 10µF or larger capacitor across VCC and GND close to the sensor to stabilise the supply line.
