The L293D is the most widely used dual H-bridge motor driver IC in DIP-16 package. Drives two DC motors or one stepper motor with built-in flyback protection diodes — the classic IC for robotics, Arduino motor shields, and DC motor control projects. Sold in a minimum of 5 pieces.
