The MAX232 is the industry-standard RS-232 to TTL/CMOS level converter IC in DIP-16 package. Converts RS-232 serial signals (±12V) to 5V TTL logic levels and vice versa using only four external 1µF capacitors — the classic solution for connecting microcontrollers to PC serial ports and RS-232 devices. Sold in a minimum of 5 pieces.
