The RCWL-0516 is a microwave Doppler radar motion sensor module. Unlike PIR sensors, it detects moving objects through walls and non-metallic materials. TTL output (OUT) goes HIGH (3.3V) for 2–3 seconds on detection, then returns LOW. Wide supply range 4–28V. Built-in 3.3V 100mA regulated output. Note: RCWL-9196 markings on the IC are functionally identical to RCWL-0516.
Pin Configuration:
- VIN — 4–28V DC input
- GND — Ground
- OUT — Motion detected: HIGH (3.3V) / Idle: LOW (0V)
- 3V3 — Regulated 3.3V output (100mA max)
- CDS — Sensor disable (pull LOW to disable)
